Discover Scuba Diving – “Try Scuba”

The Try Scuba Program is designed to do exactly what its name states. To allow you to try out the wonderful world of SCUBA diving without the time commitment of completing the open water course.
What can you expect?
– Meet at the shop at 09:30 AM for gear fitting and transportation to the pool.
– Once at the pool you will practice and conduct various SCUBA skills in a confined water environment to prepare for you open water dives.
– After you complete your skills at ~11:30 AM, you will then head back to the shop for a lunch break (there are plenty of food options in the shopping center near us).
– At 12:30 you will board one of our 3 vessels for 2 guided dives with one of our instructors.

The schedule for this course looks like this:
- 11:45 am arrive at Waianae Small Boat Harbor
- 12:30 -1 pm, depart on a 2-tank boat trip
- 4pm to 5pm, return to dock
Please fill out your medical waiver before arriving at the dock. All gear will be brought out to the boat for you, including wetsuits. We are offering transportation from hotels in Waikiki for an additional $20 per person. Please call the shop for more details.
Can I dive with my certified scuba diver friend?
Yes, when you are booking you can select Intro Diver, Scuba Refresher, or Certified Diver if you have a mixed group, you’ll all be on the same boat. If you book separately let us know so we can make sure you are on the same boat. Intro divers participating in Discover scuba diving courses and scuba refresher divers will be on our 12:00 pm afternoon charter.
